A Wow Design In Rural Alberta
Lakeview Optometry transformed former Scotiabank into the new home for their growing practice. To balance light control with abundant natural light, treatment rooms were placed along the south wall, with a central corridor plan that allowed daylight to flow into corridors and retail displays. A soft, monochromatic palette of light woods, creams, greys, marble, and natural light was layered with subtle black, bronze, and gold accents. Curved walls, rounded millwork, and custom furnishings softened the rectilinear shell, adding warmth and elegance.
The showpiece is the reception desk: a sculptural combination of hand-polished liquid metal, Calacatta Vagli Gold marble, and a soaring lacquered backdrop. Together, these elements create a refined, timeless focal point that elevates the entire space.
