The Future of Healthcare
This state-of-the-art facility was carefully designed to cater to the immediate and future healthcare needs of patients in Northwest BC. More than double the size of the existing facility (approximately 284,500 square feet), the new hospital is a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology and pharmacy services. Mill Memorial hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.
Interior design features provide natural and calming environments which improve patient, family, and staff well-being. These design features incorporate patient-friendly and elderly-friendly design concepts and provide a therapeutic environment with access to various gardens and natural environments while allowing for ease of wayfinding.
