Bill and Helen Norrie Library
This new Winnipeg Public Library opened in celebration of the history of the Metis Settlement site formerly known as Rooster Town, and the Norries - late Winnipeg Mayor Bill and his wife Helen
Rich in history, the new library features indoor and outdoor seating areas to welcome a variety of users.
The new, 14,000-square-foot space is an accessible, multipurpose building with tutorial and programming rooms, study and leisure areas, Wi-Fi plug-ins, a children's zone with playhouses for reading, and an indoor-outdoor fireplace in a reading room. The outdoor setting of the fireplace offers contemporary outdoor furniture also.
