The University of Alberta’s Tory Atrium underwent a transformative refresh as part of a broader modernization of the Henry Marshall Tory Building. The goal: to reimagine the atrium as a vibrant, student-focused space that fosters connection, collaboration, and comfort.

COI was proud to support this vision by providing a curated furniture package that balances form and function. The selection includes a mix of lounge and dining-style seating in both conventional and organic shapes, designed to soften the space visually and acoustically. Seating arrangements support a variety of uses—from quiet study to informal group work—accommodating 1 to 4 users per setting.

The furniture complements the refreshed interior finishes, including light grey tile flooring and upgraded skylights, which brighten the space and enhance its welcoming atmosphere. Durability, flexibility, and comfort were key considerations, ensuring the space remains inviting and functional for years to come.
